Mahfud: There Is No Conflict With The Idea Of Continued-Change Of Government Programs
The candidate for vice president number 3 Mahfud MD emphasized that there was no conflict between continuing and changing the government's program.
"We have the vision of 'Indonesia Superior'. Anyone ask this, 'Sir, Indonesia Superior is continuing the current government program or changes? In my opinion, there is no conflict, continuing and changing," he said in an event entitled "Bedah Idea & Vision Candidates for National Leaders" at Hasanuddin University, Makassar City, South Sulawesi reported by ANTARA, Saturday, January 13.
According to him, to continue a program, changes are also needed. While changing, something must be continued.
"Therefore, when I was asked about it, I said that in Islam we maintain good and build new ones if there is something better. So there is no need to argue, it is impossible in my opinion that we only continue or only change. It must be a middle ground," he said.
Specifically from that vision, he said his party would use the law as a commander for the welfare of the people.

"Why do I often say this, brothers, the law in Indonesia cannot be hidden. Indeed, our law is camp-camping. The making is camp-camping, the implementation is competitive. That is the result of SIGI, an international institution based in Germany," he explained.
According to him, law enforcement in Indonesia has no certainty, causing the poverty rate in Indonesia to remain at around 9.7 percent.
Mahfud explained, for Indonesia to go to Indonesia Gold in 2045, one of the requirements is economic growth reaching 7 percent.
"The method? One, the corruption is thrown away, dealt with firmly. Second, the bureaucracy should not be long-winded. Our bureaucracy is sometimes conflict of interest. It must be law enforcement indiscriminately. The strategy is to brush over, can it, sir? can, as long as the president wants to," he said.
