Acting Governor Stickers At Transjakarta Bus Stop Considered Political Savings Heru Budi

JAKARTA - University of Indonesia (UI) Political Observer Cecep Hidayat assessed that the sticker for the invitation to peaceful elections with the photo of Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono was related to the political savings of Jokowi's confidant.

"The actual initial framework is for electoral. The problem is that we don't know whether the Acting Governor will advance or not in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election, we are still waiting and see So outside of that it can be a political savings for the Acting Governor," said Cacep when contacted by VOI, Friday, January 12.

For Cecep, the assumption that PKS to the Acting Governor of DKI regarding the 2024 DKI Regional Head Election is normal.

"Because with that, this becomes an electoral basis political savings, even if you want to progress, it means that he must be known for his popularity. After that, it was liked by the Acting Governor to invite a peaceful election, after being liked and then selected, it was 3 stages of seeing the electoral basis," said Cecep.

Apart from that, Cecep mentioned the provincial government's budget for the Acting Governor of DKI Heru Budi's sticker which is widely associated with popularity matters.

Previously reported, Member of Commission B of the DKI DPRD Muhammad Taufik Zoelkifli suspected that there was an early campaign related to the Acting Governor of DKI Heru Budi Hartono's sticker at the TransJakarta Bus Stop.

"If you display a lot of banners with photos and personal names, it can be considered an early campaign for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada," Taufik told the press in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Friday, January 12.

This PKS politician said the sticker was installed with the words "Smart choice, safe election, Strong Indonesia!" accompanied by a photo of Heru wearing a white uniform while bending his hands plastered at the door of the TransJakarta Bus Stop that was not on time.

Because, according to him, the regional head election campaign (pilkada) has not yet been scheduled based on the draft General Election Commission (PKPU) regulation, starting from September 25 to November 23, 2024.
