Bey Asks The Mayor Of Bandung To Quickly Handle The Jebol Cikapundung Embankment
BANDUNG - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Kalioni Machmudin asked the Acting (Pj) Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliyono to immediately deal with the broken embankment of the Cikapundung River on Thursday (11/1) which caused flash floods in the Braga area, Bandung.
"I ordered the Mayor of Bandung to immediately repair the broken embankment, so it should be completed today," said Bey in Bandung as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 12.
Flash floods in densely populated settlements in the Braga area, Bandung City, on Thursday (11/1), based on data from the Bandung City Fire and Disaster Management Service (Diskar PB), caused around 600 houses in four RWs in the Braga area to be inundated, and 857 people from 400 families were affected.
Until now, some of the affected residents are still in temporary shelters.
"Public kitchens ready, health ready, Bandung City Fire Department, and Provincial BPBD are also ready," said Bey.
Currently, puddles are no longer visible, but leave quite thick mud material and also garbage scattered in the settlement, finally the residents were assisted by the officers in a crowd trying to clean up the mud and garbage in mutual cooperation.

"The West Java Provincial Government continues to coordinate with the Bandung City Government regarding various matters including the improvements needed," he said.
Bey said that in the future, heavy and very heavy rain is expected to occur in West Java, so people must be careful.
"Once again I remind you not to be in the open, find a safe place and must comply with directions from officers so as not to ignore directions from officers," he said.
