Police Hunt For Owners Of 12 Tons Of Subsidized Fertilizer Smuggled Into Lombok
MATARAM - West Sumbawa Resort Police, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), is hunting for the mastermind behind the smuggling of 12 tons of subsidized fertilizer revealed from the supervision of the Marine Port Area Police Team (KPL) Poto Tano, Thursday (11/1).
"The embankment that we mean here is the owner of the goods, subsidized fertilizer," said Head of the West Lombok Police Satreskrim Iptu Aby Satya Dharma as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 12.
During the hunt, Aby emphasized that he had deployed a special team in the field to explore the role of the owner of the goods.
"Our search departed from the statements of the two truck drivers," he said.
Meanwhile, the two truck drivers who were caught carrying 12 tons of subsidized fertilizer, it was confirmed that Aby was still in custody.
"So, there are no suspects yet. Both drivers are still in custody," he said.

The subsidy fertilizer transported by the two trucks is of the urea type. KPL Police Poto Tano confiscated a truck and cargo and arrested the two drivers when they were about to cross to Lombok Island.
Officers stopped their journey because the two drivers with the initials DS (44), and MH (26) from Lunyuk, Sumbawa Regency, did not have an official permit for the transportation of subsidized fertilizers.
From the results of the search of the cargo of the two trucks, the police found 12 tons of subsidized fertilizer with 50 kilograms of sack packaging. The smuggling mode is carried out by covering the subsidized fertilizer using rice husks and dedak.
According to information from the two drivers, the subsidy fertilizer is planned to be sent to Lombok Island. Subsidized fertilizer is obtained from the Lunuk area, Sumbawa Regency.
