Preventing Fatigue Officers, Bawaslu Urges KPU To Multiply Voice Letters Not To Be Early In The Morning

Depok City Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) reminded the General Election Commission (KPU) that the working hours of the ballot multiplier process should not be limited until early morning to prevent fatigue and inaccuracy factors.

"We note that there are several points related to the process of multiplicating ballots, namely related to working hours. The implementation of the ballot multiplier until the early hours of the morning," said the Coordinator of the Prevention Division, Community Participation, and Public Relations of Bawaslu City, Depok Andriansyah in Depok, West Java, Friday, January 12, as reported by Antara.

Andriansyah said that as of January 10, his party had provided input so that the working hours of the multiplier process should not be considered until early morning.

"Because this concerns accuracy for officers. Right, the ballot multiplier officers are dominated by mothers. So there needs to be time management during the implementation," he said.

Andriansyah said the Depok City Bawaslu was also conducting data collection on damaged ballots and others.

"There were several ballots that were damaged. Like a cut, it was ink. It was all from the factory when it was found that the sorting was in a logistics warehouse," he said.

"For the number or number of ballots that were damaged, we are still recapitulating," he said.

Andriansyah also said that his party had deployed four members to oversee the multiple of ballots in the 2024 election so that it would run according to the provisions.

"We immediately went down to monitor, there were four Bawaslu Depok officers. Two people in the first shift and two people in the second shift," he said.

Andriansyah said that the supervision of the process of multiplying ballots in logistics warehouses for seven days was inherently completed. In this activity, the Depok City KPU involved 300 people per day.

"The Depok KPU has folded ballots. We as the Depok Bawaslu carry out surveillance attached to the Depok KPU logistics warehouse," he said.
