BNN Names 1 Smuggler Of Methamphetamine At Central Lombok Airport With Inmates Status
NTB - Investigators from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) revealed 1 of 5 suspects in the smuggling case of 409.14 grams of crystal methamphetamine on November 24, 2023 at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport, Central Lombok Regency, who are prisoners.
Head of the NTB BNNP Investigation Team Anendi said the suspect with the initials ZA (29) who acted as the controller of ordered goods from Medan.
"ZA is a Class II B Selong prison inmate, he controls it from inside the prison," said Anendi in Mataram, Friday, January 12, quoted by Antara.
In the investigation, BNNP is still continuing to develop by intensively examining ZN at the NTB BNNP Office.
"Today we checked ZN again, this afternoon's examination and we have returned the person concerned to the Class II B Selong Prison," he said.
ZN's role in this case was exposed after obtaining evidence from the results of the examination of another suspect with the initials DH (41), the owner of the goods with the status of a narcotics case recidivist.
The evidence relates to DH's confession of communicating via cell phone with ZA who is in prison.
The role of DH and ZA was revealed thanks to the control delivery strategy implemented by the NTB BNNP.

Initially, the NTB BNNP arrested two suspects with the initials ZS (26) and RA (22) who brought methamphetamine from Medan. Both of them carry out smuggling mode by hiding narcotics evidence in the rectum.
Thanks to information support from Baa Excise and the security authority of Central Lombok Airport, both were arrested upon arrival at the airport.
After securing the evidence and the two suspects, then from the control delivery strategy, it was revealed the role of the suspect with the initials SA (29) who picked up the arrival of ZS and RA.
From the results of SA's interrogation, it was further revealed that DH's role as the owner of the goods and the controlling role of the prison, namely ZA.
With a description of the case that named five residents of Aikmel, East Lombok Regency, Anendi confirmed that the investigation was still ongoing related to tracing the involvement of other people from the shabu-shabu distribution network.
