Update On COVID-19 As Of February 22: New Cases 10.180, Total Cases 1.288.833
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 46.562 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 10.180 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1.288.833 people and as many as 157.148 active cases", data quoted from the Ministry of Health, Monday, February 22.
Cases recovered today increased by 9.918 cases so that a total of 1.096.994 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 202 people and a total of 34.691 people.
The province with the newest cases is in West Java with 3.812 cases and a total of 198.181 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 2.466 new cases with a total of 331.094 cases. Central Java has 1.047 new cases and a total of 148.509 cases. Then, East Java has 434 new cases and a total of 126.467 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 2.832 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 2.305 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 1.125 recovered cases, and East Java with an increase of 533 recovered cases.
There is one province that reported no new cases as of today. The province that reported zero new cases was West Kalimantan.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined has reached 10.436.446. In detail, as many as 10.286.341 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 150.105 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The cumulative positive result per number of people examined or a positivity rate of 18.6 percent", he wrote.
For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 81.037 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, currently, there are 1.244.215 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 764.905 vaccines in the second dose. Meanwhile, the total vaccination targets reached 181.554.465 people.
