Anies Launches One Economy Program For Indonesian Development

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate Anies Rasyid Baswedan launched the One Economy program in the Joint Debate of Kadin Towards Indonesia Gold 2045 at Djakarta Theater, Jakarta.

Anies explained that the vision of building a future economy must go hand in hand with equitable development and sustainability.

"We want equality of opportunities to grow, growth accompanied by equity and sustainability. Why should it be evenly distributed? Because we want to build Indonesia. Why should it be sustainable? Because we want Indonesia to continue to be used by children and grandchildren," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 11.

To achieve this program, Anies has two steps to make this happen.

The first step is to provide a conducive business climate through three things, namely providing legal certainty, long-term plans, and simplifying licensing.

The next step, said Anies, is to reduce the cost of living and create jobs.

"I met many people in various regions. They called the cost of living and the cost of production expensive," said the former Chancellor of Paramadina University.

Regarding the expensive cost of living and production, he plans to develop 40 cities so that economic centers will increase and be evenly distributed.

Through One Economy, Anies hopes that the economy will grow evenly, open jobs, cheap logistics, legal certainty and the bureaucracy will not be complicated, and the Human Development Index (HDI) will increase.
