KPU Targets All Logistics To Reach Area January 15
DENPASAR - Chairman of the KPU Hasyim Asy'ari said that his party is targeting all domestic logistics for the 2024 General Election to arrive in the regions or districts/cities at least January 15, where currently there are still processing ballot logistics.
"In the country (the rest) print ballots, the last (distribution) is targeted for January 15," he said after the handover of the loan using the election building in Denpasar, Bali, Thursday, January 11.
Hasyim said the target had been set, where the distribution for foreign voters, which was preceded by January 2-11, 2024, was the process of sending it through the post, because several countries had voting days first than domestic ones.
Domestically, the 2024 election vote will take place on February 14 or 34 days, while the ballot printing process is carried out directly in the regions, there are also centralized ones such as presidential and DPD election ballots.
"If the ballot printing is close to 100 percent, only each printing company distributes it to districts/cities, because the postal addresses are from each printing company to districts/cities, so everything in Indonesia is distributed to districts/cities," he said.
Until now, the KPU has not encountered any obstacles in the logistics distribution process, for example related to the damage to ballot boxes in the logistics warehouse of the Selayar Islands KPU, South Sulawesi, due to flooding which can eventually be handled.
"It has been handled, on January 8 it was reviewed directly there, it has been checked. (The voice box) whose condition does not allow it to be used again is replaced," said Hasyim.
Another example of the KPU chairman is the Badung KPU in Bali, which happens to be visited by his logistics warehouse.
"Like in Badung today, tonight the DPD ballot has arrived, others have been folded up according to each polling station," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
Chairman of the Badung KPU I Gusti Ketut Gede Yusa Arsana who accompanied the KPU's visit said that until now they are still in the process of folding and compiling logistics.
