Bawaslu Has Not Discussed The Report On Anies Baswedan Regarding Prabowo's Land

DENPASAR - Chairman of the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Rahmat Bagja said his party had not yet discussed the report against the presidential candidate Anies Baswedan regarding Prabowo Subianto's land which was mentioned in the presidential candidate debate.

"Still in, it has not been discussed. We have 7 + 7 time, we will try to see the study from our friends," said Bagja in Denpasar, Thursday, January 11.

Bawaslu emphasized that the assessment of reports was carried out to ensure the administrative category or election crime.

"We'll see later, if it's wrong, it's not necessarily wrong, it's not wrong, it's administrative or criminal, we'll see. If it's been found, of course (called) there will be processes that will be carried out by Bawaslu," he said.

Meanwhile, presidential candidate Anies Baswedan said that his party handed over everything to the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) regarding reports to him after alluding to Prabowo Subianto's land ownership in the presidential candidate debate.

"It was all discussed in the debate. What should be discussed in the debate should also be responded to in the debate," said Anies in Samarinda.

Anies handed over all these problems to Bawaslu because it was the only one who could judge whether the report was feasible to continue or not.

According to him, as citizens, anyone can report anyone because it is the right of every citizen.

"As citizens, of course, the right to report, but Bawaslu also has the right to determine which ones should be followed up and which ones do not need to be followed up at all. We leave it to Bawaslu," he said.

Anies admitted that the data disclosed during the debate came from President Joko Widodo during the presidential candidate debate in the 2019 presidential election.

For this reason, when the data submitted is wrong, said Anies, it is not only him who should be questioned, but the main source.

"I did use the data submitted by Mr. President Jokowi. The data has a reference, so if it is considered problematic, yes, we will see the referrals," he said.
