74 Houses In Sapuran Wonosobo Damaged By Tornadoes
WONOSOBO - A total of 74 houses in Sapuran, Wonosobo Regency, Central Java were damaged both lightly and heavily after being swept away by a tornado.
Sapuran sub-district head Alfun Haka said the affected communities were assisted by personnel from BPBD Wonosobo, TNI, Polri, and volunteers working together to clean up scattered building materials and repair houses.
"Especially in Pecekelan Village in Kliwonan Hamlet, there are 43 houses with various criteria, both lightly, moderately and severely damaged. Then in Simanis and Kalilution there are 25 houses, there are also criteria for damage, both mild, moderate and severe," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 11.
Then in Sapuran Village in Punthuksari Hamlet there are six houses. So for Sapuran sub-district, there are a total of 74 houses, of which eight are severely damaged.
Alfun emphasized that today's activity is to repair damaged houses and clean building materials and fallen trees. It is targeted that the house repairs will be completed today.
Then, for houses that were badly damaged, his party only coordinated with relevant agencies, both BPBD and the Wonosobo Social Service.

According to him, in addition to destroying trees and houses of residents, tornadoes have also damaged public facilities such as the Sapuran Health Center, which has now been repaired.
A resident of Muhammad Kholidin revealed that the tornado was very short. As a result of this disaster, many residents' houses were damaged.
"The tornado occurred on Wednesday, January 10 in Kliwonan Hamlet, Sapuran it occurred at around 14.00 WIB when heavy rain accompanied by lightning and then followed at 14.30 WIB a tornado hit Pecekelan Village", he said.
In this accident, damage was dominated by the roof of the house, both those that were lost by the wind and the roof of the house that was hit by a tree.
