Goodyear Launches Electric Car Special Tires At CES 2024, What Are The Advantages?

JAKARTA - At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, the well-known tire brand Goodyear launched the latest ElectricDrive 2 tires specifically for electric vehicles, claiming to be able to maximize EV performance.

Based on the manufacturer's information, ElectricDrive 2 is the latest step in the maturity of Goodyear's sustainability, and contains at least 50 percent of environmentally friendly materials.

"With the continued adoption of electric vehicles, we want to meet the needs of consumers and markets with updated electric vehicle replacement tires," said David Reese, vice president, product development, American Goodyear, in an official statement, Thursday, January 11.

The process of presenting special Tires for Goodyear electric vehicles is called not easy, where the company conducts in-depth research on consumer wishes. As a result, not a few users expect to have tires that remain calm or do not cause excessive noise when used, and their performance is maintained.

Reflecting on the study, ElectricDrive 2 is equipped with SoundComfort Technology, an internal sound barrier that helps reduce noise in vehicles and asymmetric site patterns that provide confident control for wet or dry road conditions.

"We know electric vehicle drivers prioritize performance and tires that are more environmentally friendly. ElectricDrive 2 is designed with at least 50% environmentally friendly materials, with a focus on providing greater traction and keeping motorists calm," he added.

Unfortunately, this tire is confirmed to be only available in the United States in May 2024, and comes in 17 sizes designed to match current trends controlled by Sedan markets and SUVs, such as the leading Tesla Models Y, 3 and S models, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Badminton Bolt, Audi Q4 e-tron and many more.
