BPBD DKI Calls Seven Regions In East Jakarta Potentially Landslide-Prone
JAKARTA - A total of 7 sub-districts in East Jakarta are included in a zone that has the potential to be prone to landslides in January 2024. According to data from the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the zones in question are in Cakung, Duren Sawit, Jatinegara, Kramat Jati, Matraman, Pasar Rebo, and Pulogadung.
"The estimated area of the potential ground movement is prepared based on the results of the overlay between the map of the vulnerability zone of the ground movement," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta Province, Isnawa Adji when confirmed, Wednesday, January 10.

Based on data from BPBD DKI compiled from the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG), several areas prone to landslides are in the middle zone.
In that zone, it is estimated that there will be a ground movement if the rainfall above is normal, especially in areas bordering rivers, gadgets, road cliffs, or if the slopes experience disruption.
"The DKI BPBD appeals to the village heads, sub-district heads in Jakarta and the public to anticipate the potential for landslides when the rainfall is above normal," he said.
