Muzani Said Prabowo Was Not Provoked Even Though He Was Attacked During The Presidential Candidate Debate
Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani said that Prabowo Subianto's presidential candidate was not provoked even though he was attacked by two of his rivals during a presidential candidate debate held by the KPU in Jakarta, Sunday (7/1) night.
"In yesterday's debate, we saw that Pak Prabowo was attacked, provoked, interested, and teased as if to show the people that there was a split between the contested presidential candidates. However, Pak Prabowo refrained from being provoked and could contain emotions rather than reveal things that are beyond substance that could disrupt the stability of our nation," said Muzani as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.
According to Muzani, Prabowo was provoked by questions that cornered Prabowo and his partner, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, potentially winning one round.
"Why is Mr. Prabowo always being disturbed, provoked? Because Prabowo-Gibran has the potential to win one round, all presidential candidates do things that are beyond substance," he said.

Prabowo, said Muzani, was determined to maintain the unity and integrity of the nation, so that it was not provoked during the debate two days ago.
"Even though it sometimes hurts, it's annoying, Pak Prabowo always says, let the people judge and leave it to the people to choose their leaders," he said.
He said the Minister of Defense showed the nature of statesmen when he did not disclose defense data that was confidential. Muzani believes Prabowo is a mature leader.
"As a statesman, he highly upholds unity, Pak Prabowo does not want to have power that is not based on the will of the people. Because Pak Prabowo once said that Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan are people who also intend to serve the nation and state," said Muzani.
