Anies Cancels Campaign To Polewali Mandar Due To Transportation Obstacles
Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan, canceled his visit to Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi, to campaign for a number of locations in the area on Tuesday, or the 43rd day of the 2024 presidential and vice presidential election campaign.
He made an announcement about the canceled visit via video recordings and admitted that the cancellation of the visit to Polewali Mandar was caused by transportation problems that were not available.
"Last night we received news that there were technical problems, so the transportation from Mamuju to Polewali Mandar was not available, because we had to not stop by Polewali Mandar," Anies said in the video reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.
Anes explained that before planning to go to Polewali Mandar, he was in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. He plans to fly to Mamuju to transit in Mamuju for the next time to Polewali Mandar.
Through the video, Anies also conveyed a message of struggle to Polewali Mandar residents. Even though he did not meet physically, according to him, the spirit of struggle has always been a unit.
"God willing, in time we will return to Polewali Mandar to work together again interacting together for a struggle," he said.
