Bawaslu Serang Finds Violations Of Prabowo-Gibran Billboards At Pakupatan Terminal
SERANG - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Serang City, Banten, found a violation of the regulations for installing billboards for the presidential and vice presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo-Gibran, which was installed at the entrance tree of Pakupat Terminal.
Members of the Bawaslu City of SerangFierly, Murdlyat Mabrurri, said that the billboards were installed on trees by applying them starting from the terminal entrance.
"The total billboards installed at Pakupatan Terminal are 32 billboards; on the right side 16 and the left side 16," said Fierly as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.
The Coordinator of the Serang City Bawaslu Violation Handling Division explained that the Prabowo-Gibran billboard was known to have been installed to coincide with President Joko Widodo's visit to Pakupatan Terminal, Monday (8/1), to inaugurate the terminal revitalization.
"Sunday afternoon (7/1) we have monitored that no billboards were scattered in that location, but in the morning, Monday morning, it was already there. It is possible to install it (Sunday) night," explained Fierly.
He emphasized that the campaign equipment (APK) was prohibited from being installed in the terminal environment, in accordance with the Decree of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Serang City Number 151 of 2023.
"APK and campaign materials should not be installed on trees and installed on terminal locations. Obviously, this has been banned according to the rules of the Serang City KPU Number 151 of 2023," he added.

Fierly said that the Prabowo-Gibrandi billboards were installed by two volunteer groups. The Serang City Bawaslu will immediately make a summons and ask for information from the two volunteer groups.
"One volunteer has been detected, the whereabouts, the secretariat, already knows, just looking for one more. Later, we will call for clarification," said Fierly.
In addition to summoning the alleged volunteer, the Serang City Bawaslu will also summon the head of the Pakupatan Terminal for questioning.
"We also need information from UPTterminal. We hope that within three days, we will immediately make a summons," he said.
Fierly said that in the future his party would coordinate with the Pakupatan Terminal and other public facilities so that no more election participants violate the rules by installing the PPK in the public-owned facility environment.
