Mandiri Sekuritas And BSI Collaboration Launches Sharia Investment Services
JAKARTA - PT Mandiri Sekuritas collaborates and PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) launched the #SerbaSyariah investment service. On the same occasion, BRIS also released the opening service of the first Sharia Bank Online Customer Fund Account (RDN) in the country.
With this collaboration, customers can invest in the Islamic capital market and enjoy the convenience of opening an online Islamic securities account through Mandiri Online Securities Trading (MOST) Syariah by Mandiri Sekuritas.
The launch of this sharia investment service was motivated by data from the Muslim population of Indonesia as of 2023 which reached more than 240 million or approximately 85 percent of the total 278 million population.
Meanwhile, data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) noted that the total number of Indonesian capital market investors as of 2023 reached more than 12 million. Of this figure, around 137 thousand people are Islamic stock investors out of a total of 5 million stock investors.
Furthermore, the Financial Literacy and Inclusion National Survey (SNLIK) of OJK 2022 noted that Indonesia's capital market financial literacy rate was 4 percent and inclusion 5.19 percent. Meanwhile, Indonesia's Islamic financial literacy was 9.14 percent compared to conventional financial literacy reaching 49.6 percent.
Mandiri Sekuritas President Director Oki Ramadhana said statistical figures and literacy survey results, as well as capital market financial inclusion showed the huge potential growth of the Islamic capital market in Indonesia.

Oki added that the collaboration between Mandiri Sekuritas and BSI is a form of their commitment in developing a digital sharia investment ecosystem in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the President Director of BRIS, Hery Gunardi said, this collaboration opens wide access for customers to investment in the sharia capital market and marks BSI as the first full-fledged Islamic bank in Indonesia to launch the opening of the Sharia online RDN.

The #SerbaSyariah investment and the opening of a sharia securities account in Mandiri Sekuritas are fully supported by BSI with sharia online RDN products in the form of a Sharia Stock Savings BSI account using the Mudharabah Mutlaqah contract. This tabular account will be used by customers to settle the sale and purchase transaction of sharia securities according to the MUI DSN fatwa.
