Bengkulu KPU: Anies Baswedan's Campaign At Hazairin University Violates Rules
BENGKULU - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Bengkulu City said the campaign carried out by presidential candidate Anies Baswedan at the University of Hazairin Bengkulu on December 6, 2023 had violated applicable regulations."A plenary meeting has been held, violating (the campaign on campus). The findings from Bawaslu have been submitted to the election participants in question through the regional campaign team (TKD) in the regions," said Bengkulu City KPU Legal and Supervision Division Anggi Stephensent in Bengkulu, quoted from Antara, Monday, January 8.For this reason, his party has submitted to TKD Anies Baswedan in Bengkulu City regarding the results of the plenary session that has been carried out by KPU members in the form of notes so that during the next campaign it will be taken into consideration and further improvement.Before giving a note, his party formed a legal study team related to alleged campaign violations committed by TKD Candidate for President Anies Baswedan.The formation of the team was carried out after the KPU received a letter of recommendation from the Bengkulu City General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) regarding alleged violations of the presidential candidate administration during a dialogue in Bengkulu.Previously, Bawaslu Kota clarified three people related to alleged campaign violations committed by one of the pairs of presidential candidates (candidates) of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Anies Baswedan during a dialogue at the University of Hazairin Bengkulu on December 6, 2023.The three people who have clarified are the regional campaign team (TKD) pair of presidential candidates, the Head of the Administration Section and the Head of the General Section of the University of Hazairin (Unihaz) Bengkulu.The Coordinator of the Bengkulu City Bawaslu Division for Handling, Utilization and Violation of Disputes (Kordiv PPPS) Ahmad Maskuri said that two campaign customers carried out by Candidate Anies in Bengkulu City were based on the results of a study conducted by the campaign team and implementing activities, namely related to administrative violations related to procedures and mechanisms regarding campaigns.
As found, campaign attributes were found when Anies Baswedan had a dialogue with students at Unihaz Bengkulu and based on the General Elections Commission (PKPU) Regulation that campaign activities in the campus area were only allowed on holidays or Saturdays and Sundays, while the implementation of the presidential candidate campaign was only allowed.
