The Palace Ensures Jokowi Is Overseas During The PDIP Anniversary January 10

JAKARTA - Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana said President Joko Widodo would visit three ASEAN countries on January 9-14, 2024. "On January 9 to 14, 2024, the President is scheduled to visit the three countries, Vietnam, the Philippines and Brunei Darussalam," Ari said in a short message in Jakarta, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 8. The matter of why the overseas visit coincided with the PDI-P's 51st Anniversary celebration which was commemorated on January 10, 2024, Ari said the preparation for the visit to the three countries had been carried out since several months ago. He conveyed that the main purpose of visiting the three countries was to strengthen/enforce friendly relations and cooperation between Indonesia and the three countries. "An explanation of the strategic meaning of visits to the three countries will be conveyed by the President before departure. And the agenda for visits in three countries, the details will be updated by the Foreign Minister," he said.

According to Ari, the President is scheduled to depart Tuesday afternoon on January 9, 2024. "(Tuesday) morning, the President is still chairing the Plenary Cabinet Session," said Ari.
