PAN Express Jokowi's Message During Lunch With Zulkifli Hasan
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Viva Yoga Mauladi revealed President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) message during a lunch with PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan, namely so that the 2024 General Election can run directly, in general, free, and confidential (luber) and honestly and fairly (jurdil).
"The President's message is to keep elections overflowing, jurdil, safe, peaceful, encouraging, quality, and with integrity. Political parties are the determining factor for the well-organized election and the quality of democratic development," said Viva Yoga in a written statement received by Antara in Jakarta, Sunday.
The President, continued Viva, also advised that national unity can be maintained during the election. As part of democracy, elections are a means of people's sovereignty in channeling opinions and choices.
"The principle of elections in the corridor of democracy must be able to ensure that the implementation of one person, one vote, one value can be held constitutionally and correctly," he said.
Viva also explained that President Jokowi and Zulhas ate typical Indonesian cuisine during a lunch together at a restaurant on Jalan Pajajaran, Bogor City, West Java, Sunday.
"The general chairman of PAN, Bang Zulkifli Hasan, accompanied a lunch with President Jokowi in Bogor. Enjoyed typical Indonesian cuisine," said Viva.
