Jakarta's Air Quality Worsened Again On Sunday Morning

JAKARTA - Air quality in DKI Jakarta worsened again on Sunday, January 7 morning based on data from the IQAir air quality monitoring site.

Based on observations in Jakarta, Sunday, at 05.00 WIB, the air quality index (AQI) in Jakarta was at 156 or included in the unhealthy category with a smooth particle number (PM) 2.5.

The air quality monitoring site with the latest time listed Jakarta as the worst ranked fourteenth city in the world, worse than yesterday's air quality ranking, Saturday (6/1) morning, the worst of the twenty worlds with AQI at 139 at 06.00 WIB.

The city with the worst air quality in the world on Sunday was Dhaka, Banglades with an air quality index at 263, followed by Hangzhou, China at 234 then Delhi, India at 215.

Meanwhile, the Environmental Information and Hygiene System of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environment Agency stated that the overall air quality in Jakarta is in the moderate category with index number 87 and air pollution PM2.5.
