Sandiaga Uno Offers 8 SEZ Investments To The UAE, There Are Mandalika To Lake Toba
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno offered to invest in eight special economic zones (SEZs) in the tourism sector to the Head of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Entrepreneurship and Educators Team for Economic Zone Development, Family Business Sustainability, and Alzarooni's Fair Education.
The SEZ offered includes Mandalika, Central Lombok, NTB; Tanjung Kelayang, Belitung, Babel; Likupang, North Minahasa, North North Sulawesi; Tanjung Lesung, Pandeglang, Banten; Nongsa, Batam, Riau Islands; Lido, Bogor, West Java; Singhasari, Malang, East Java; and Morotai, North Maluku.
Investment is also offered in five super priority destinations, namely Borobudur, Lake Toba, Likupang, Mandalika, and Labuan Bajo.
"In the meeting, we also offered Dr. Adil Alzarooni to invest in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN), including investment projects ready to be offered (IPRO) in Aceh and Bali," Sandiaga said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, January 6.
Investment offers were submitted considering the number of tourist visits from the UAE to Indonesia continues to increase. Referring to data on the realization of investment in the tourism sector from the UAE to Indonesia in 2023, it reached 3.1 million US dollars.
This number was conveyed by Sandiaga, an increase of 429 percent compared to 2022.
"What Indonesia needs is not only investment, but also to create a good investment ecosystem, especially with the private sector. Therefore, we continue to encourage the involvement of private parties through public private partnerships (PPP) in accelerating development," he said.

Sandiaga hopes that the entry of investors can accelerate development and create the widest possible employment opportunities.
The investment offer submitted by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy was also welcomed by Adil Alzarooni.
Still, Sandiaga said, the man who has more than 20 years of experience in the field of executive management, investment, sales, logistics, IT security, and economic zone development is also enthusiastic about coming to Indonesia.
"This offer is very interesting, and I can't wait to make it happen soon," said Adil Alzarooni.
