JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, highlighted the maintenance of the transportation security system in an accident involving the Turangga Train on the Bandung Raya Train, resulting in the death of four people.

The former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) asked PT KAI and other related teams to immediately find the cause of the unfortunate incident.

"That way there will be evaluation and improvement of the public transportation security system. Not only for trains, but all other modes of public transportation, including on land routes that are prone to accidents," said Puan in her statement, quoted from Antara, Saturday, January 6.

He also asked the government through the Ministry of Transportation to continue to monitor and ensure the security of the management system in all modes of transportation.

"Make sure all protocols are carried out according to standards to minimize human errors that can harm the public as users of transportation services. The government must ensure the safety of citizens who carry out mobility," he said.
