Through Single Ngeluwihi, Tiara Andini Hopes Javanese Culture Can Be More Accepted

JAKARTA - Tiara Andini released a new single entitled Ngeluwuhi today, Friday, January 5. This song is a new beginning for the singer from Jember to welcome 2024.

Taken from Javanese, luluwihi also means 'exceeding'. Through the selection of the title song this time, Tiara Andini wants to show her even better version.

Although English is used in almost all song lyrics, Javanese is used at the beginning of the song to emphasize cultural elements from Tiara. In addition, the Javanese cultural element is also used in the single Ngeluwihi artwork.

Tiara Andini admitted that she wanted to bring her origin as a Javanese woman in the latest single. He wants to show pride in his culture.

"I want to bring a culture where I was born, namely Javanese culture. And it turns out that after trying the results are very satisfying, not only the songs, but all the products have also exceeded my previous expectations," said Tiara Andini in her statement, Friday, January 5.

In the video clip that can be seen on his YouTube channel, Tiara Andini also presents many scenes containing elements of Javanese culture.

Javanese clothing is the most interesting right of the Ngeluwihi video clip. In addition, the video background also contains mountains and kayons that usually appear in puppet performances.

Meanwhile, Tiara Andini is back in collaboration with South Korean music producer Hyuk Shin. Previously, they had worked together in a single entitled Flip It Up.

The music arrangement features an aggressive and fun K-pop feel to accompany the dance. The hip-hop, rap, R&B, and pop elements are one in the producer's concoction.

Through Ngeluwihi's single, Tiara Andini hopes that her music and Javanese culture can be enjoyed even more broader listeners, not only in Indonesia but also abroad.
