Suspect Of Palm Oil Investment Fraud Becomes Fugitive From Jambi Police
Jambi Police have determined the status of the People's Wanted List (DPO) to palm oil company owners who commit investment fraud.
Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) of the Jambi Regional Police, Kombes Andri Ananta Yudhistira, said that the letter of issuance of a wanted list (DPO) against the two suspects had been issued.
"We have issued a DPO against the two suspects, and we have sent this to the ranks and other Polda," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, January 5.
The husband and wife, aka the owner of the palm oil DO that became the DPO, were Marlina and Indigenous Lion Teacher. Both are known to have committed fraudulent investment in palm oil DO to residents of Sungai Bahar, Muaro Jambi Regency.
Andri hopes that the two suspects will be caught soon. His party also coordinated with other Regional Police to arrest the two suspects.
"We are also coordinating with colleagues in the region, and we are continuing to investigate the whereabouts of these two suspects," he said.
He is also optimistic that the two DPOs can be immediately arrested by the police.

One of the victims of the Iskandar palm oil DO investment said that initially they were asked to invest in the lure of profit per one kilogram of palm oil.
After several months, the profit payment began to stall and it was discovered that the two suspects fled in August 2023.
Apart from Iskandar, there were several other residents who were victims of the fraud.
"We hope that the perpetrators can be arrested and hopefully our funds will still be there," he said.
