Basuki Calls The Improvement Of The Adipala-Father-Jladri Road To Develop Tourism On The Pansela Line

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed the repair of the 44 kilometer Adipala-Father-Jladri road that connects Cilacap and Kebumen Regencies in Central Java Province (Central Java).

The road is a logistics route and part of the Java South Coast (Pansela) road network that connects to popular tourism locations, such as Father Beach and Karang Bolong in Kebumen.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the Adipala-Father-Jladri section was upgraded to the asphalt condition and the road was widened from the original 5 meters (m) to 7 m, in order to provide comfort for motorists.

"During the 2024 New Year holiday, this section is very crowded. Repairing road conditions makes the segment smoother, but not only for the tourism sector but also for the logistics sector in Cilacap Regency and its surroundings," Minister Basuki said in a written statement received by VOI, Friday, January 5.

Basuki assessed that the repair of the section was also to support the smooth flow of traffic leading to various tourism areas around the Pansela route.

"In addition to the good road conditions, road users who are taking advantage of the 2024 New Year's Holiday can also enjoy beautiful views along the Pansela route and there are many tourism locations, one of which is Dad Beach on the Adipala-Father-Jladri section," he said.

The repair of the Adipala-Father to Jladri section itself is divided into 7 work packages along 44 km. For 2 packages, it includes rehabilitation and widening work and 2 widening packages in Cilacap Regency.

The rest, namely as many as 3 packages of widening of the father-Jladri section, are in Kebumen Regency and partly in Purworejo.

Meanwhile, throughout 2023, the Ministry of PUPR has carried out rehabilitation and widening of regional roads with a total of 51 provincial and district/city roads along 282 km for Central Java Province.

The improvement of regional roads by the central government is in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023 concerning the Acceleration of Increasing Regional Road Connectivity with a budget allocation in Central Java of IDR 1.28 trillion.

"Through the Regional Road Inpres, damaged regional roads, especially road connecting production and industrial areas with outlets and the market is repaired through assistance from the center," he added.
