PDIP Asks For Survey Results Audit, Indo Barometer: Everything Can Be Checked, If Someone Plays In The Babat

JAKARTA - Director of Indo Barometer, Muhammad Qodari, questioned the PDI-P elite's suggestion to audit the survey results because it was considered an effort to lead the opinion of the 2024 presidential election to be held one round through a survey agency.

Qodari admitted that he was not worried that the survey results from his institution would be audited. However, according to him, the audit proposal will endanger survey institutions that have just emerged ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Qodari then mentioned that a new survey agency suddenly appeared and placed candidate pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD in the top position of the survey. He was surprised because the majority of credible survey institutions showed the electability of candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the champion.

"That I don't believe the results of the current survey, I think, that's how it is, even proposing that there will be an audit agency for survey institutions, I support it, because the strange ones will get aka the master's food weapon, it's good, just continue. If the survey agency is really feared, the survey is right, but now there is an institution that suddenly appears and suddenly wins 03, and so on," said Qodari at the Prabowo Volunteer Secretary-Gibran, West Jakarta, Thursday, December 4.

Therefore Qodari assessed that the idea of auditing the survey results would actually be dangerous for the newly emerged survey institutions.

"So I quote Cak Imin, isn't it dangerous? Now that's him. Doesn't it harm tha? Yes, it's a danger," said Qodari.

"In fact, the institution that has just emerged will not be able to publish again. Change the name again later, will be audited again," he continued.

Qodari also guaranteed that the survey results from his institution could be accounted for. Both from metology and all other survey instruments.

"So actually, if we do the right research, it doesn't need to be closed. Everything can be checked, the methodology can be checked, the data collection process can be checked. I guarantee that if someone plays with survey data and quick count, it will definitely get babat it," he concluded.

Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto proposed the establishment of an independent committee to audit the results of a survey released by a number of survey institutions ahead of the 2024 presidential election. This is because PDIP suspects that there is an effort to lead the opinion of the 2024 presidential election to be held one round through a survey agency.

"So it is proposed that later the formation of a kind of independent committee from universities to audit survey results because this is related to the interests of the people, related to the quality of democracy," said Hasto at the PDIP DPP Office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, November 2.

According to Hasto, through this audit, it can be seen which survey institutions use the methodology correctly later.

"From the aspect of licensing, it is also possible to have interventions in areas that are used as places for respondents who then intervene first," he said.
