TKN Asks The Riau Islands TKD To Withdraw The Police Report On The Prabowo-Gibran Billboard At The Welcome To Batam Icon
JAKARTA - The National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo Gibran asked the Riau Islands Regional Campaign Team (TKD) (Kepri) to withdraw the police report against the Chairman of Bawaslu Batam and the Head of the Riau Islands Bawaslu regarding the removal of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka billboard.
"That's why we ask them to withdraw those in the police," said Deputy Commander of the Echo (Hunkum and Advocacy) TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Habiburokhman as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 4.
According to Habib, the Riau Islands TKD felt that the installation of billboards for the presidential candidate pair and vice presidential candidate number 2 on the 'Welcome to Batam' icon did not violate the rules because it had pocketed a letter from the KPU.
"They feel legally true because there is a KPU letter stating that the welcome to Batam (Welcome to Batam, ed.) field can be used, but we see that it ends up causing a commotion, yes," he said.
In addition, Habiburokhman said that such problems should be followed up through the Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP).
"Yes, we don't go to the police about this election, just go to the DKPP if we don't want it," added Habib.
