Microsoft Changes Windows Button With Copilot Lock On Windows 11 PC
JAKARTA Microsoft plans to add a Copilot key to all Windows PC keyboards. This key will replace the Windows button that has been in use for nearly three decades.
By adding a Windows PC key lock, Microsoft wants to bring smarter and smoother computing with the support of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This key is believed to be able to simplify the computational experience for users.
"Copilot's key recognition marks the first significant change to Windows PC keyboards in nearly three decades. We believe this will empower the public to participate in AI transformation more easily," said Microsoft's Head of Consumer Marketing, Yusuf Mehdi.
This Copilot key will replace the Windows button next to the Alt button, to be precise on the right of the keyboard. When this button is pressed, the device will launch Windows Copilot in the form of a ChatGPT-like chatbot.
For now, the Copilot key only functions as the app launch button or feature shortcut. It is not yet known if this button can be used along with other buttons in the future.
