SpaceX Accused Of Illegally Fired Employees After Criticizing Elon Musk
SpaceX, a commercial space company, is accused of illegally firing an employee by the National Labor Relations Council (NLRB) for criticizing its leader, Elon Musk.
In June 2022, eight SpaceX employees spread letters to executives to criticize Elon Muskdalam's behavior in using social media. They refer to Musk as interference and shame for the company.
Musk often makes statements that are not in line with the company's policies regarding diversity and violations at SpaceX. With Musk's actions deemed detrimental, these eight employees demanded a more inclusive corporate culture.
Unfortunately, the complaints of employees through open letters were not heard by the executives. On the other hand, they were fired unfairly so that NLRB claimed that this dismissal had violated federal labor laws.
In addition to violating workers' rights, NLRB told Reuters that SpaceX had integrated all the employees who wrote letters, underestimated the workers involved, and posed threats of dismissal to employees who did the same thing.

On all these allegations, NLRB asked SpaceX to write an apology letter to all employees who had been fired. The company was also asked to make a notification of the rights of all employees within 120 days.
NLRB has submitted the case to the council group appointed directly by the president. If SpaceX does not want to resolve the case by complying with NLRB's request, this case will go up and be tried by administrative judges.
This trial is scheduled to take place on March 5. If SpaceX is proven to have violated workers' rights during the trial, NLRB can order SpaceX to pay the salaries of the eight employees or hire them back.
