Libya Doesn't Want Indonesia's Reshuffle In The Trial Match Even Though It Had Holden Cameroon's Draw
JAKARTA - The Libyan national team will be the first opponent the Indonesian national team will face in the trial agenda ahead of the 2023 Asian Cup. Although technically Libya is more favored, they do not want to underestimate the Garuda Squad.

A meeting between Libya and Cameroon took place in Africa's 2026 World Cup Qualifiers on November 21, 2023. At that time, Libya managed to hold Cameroon to a draw with Abdulmunem Aleiyanyang's goal which prevented the team from losing.
In addition to the results of the last match, it was quite good, looking at the notes on paper, Libya was also superior to Indonesia. Currently they are ranked 120th in the FIFA rankings, while the Indonesian national team is in the 146th position.

Even though he was a tough team and had a better rank, Libya in fact did not want to underestimate the Indonesian national team. This was stated by the coach, Milutin Sredojevic.
He considered that the two friendly matches were important to test the matches and abilities of the Libyan players.
"We will be competitors and our goal is to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup (ACN) finals and the 2026 World Cup. We cannot underestimate anyone who will be faced, including them (Indonesian National Team)," said Milutin Sredojevic, quoted from the AFC official website on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
"It is a good goal and will only be achieved through hard work and continuous responses. Libya's talents have the ability (to succeed), they just need attention and the game (trial) will be a moment," he continued.
The Libyan national team will not only meet once for the Indonesian national team in a test match. After being scheduled to meet on January 2, 2024 night, the two teams will play their second match on January 5, 2024 in Turkey, which is also the location for the Garuda Squad's training camp (TC).
This trial agenda is a preparation for the Indonesian national team before appearing in the 2023 Asian Cup. In that tournament, Indonesia joined in Group D with Iraq, Vietnam, and Japan.
The journey of the Indonesian national team in the 203 Asian Cup will begin on January 15, 2024, against Iraq as the opening match.
