Jokowi Hands Over Issuance Of Unfinished Land Certificates To The Next President
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo said he would submit matters of issuance or distribution of land certificates that were less than a few, to the next President, if it could not be completed this year.
"Those who finish will let the new president, less criticism, less and more (yes, ed)," said President Joko Widodo at the handover of land certificates in Cilacap, Central Java, Tuesday, January 2.
Jokowi said that actually based on estimates, land certificate completion affairs throughout Indonesia could be completed during his leadership. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the target for completing land certificates must be delayed by one year.
"My estimate is that if there is no COVID, it will be completed. But Entertainment (there is) COVID, step down, maybe a year back, maybe in 2025 everything will be finished throughout the country," he said.
"Next year, maybe in all of Indonesia there are still 6 million (uncertified land parcels), but hopefully it can also be resolved. We want this to be 'deadly' so that next year it can be completed," said the President at the handover of land certificates to the people of East Java Province in Sidoarjo, East Java.
The President said that if the efforts to finalize the 6 million land parcel certificates are not completed next year, he expects it to be completed by 2025.
"But if it is multiplet, maybe (next year) it will still be 6 million. This means that next year, all land land in our country has been held (there is) all certificates," said President Widodo.
He said that in 2015 there were 126 million plots of land that had to be certified, but at that time only 46 million land parcels were certified, and the remaining 80 million plots of land had not been certified.
At that time the National Land Agency (BPN) could only issue 500 thousand land certificates per year, so that to complete the certificate for 80 million land parcels, it is estimated that it will take 160 years.
However, currently the issuance of land certificates can reach 10 million certificates per year.
On that occasion, the President handed over 2,000 land certificates to the public consisting of 1,122 certificates from Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) and 878 land certificates arising, including the land redistribution program.

Previously, when the distribution of land certificates in Sidoarjo, East Java, December 27, 2023, President Widodo said the government would "dy out" or work hard to complete the issuance of land certificates, which are estimated to remain 6 million plots of land by 2024.
