More Than A Million Passengers Passed Adi Soemarmo Airport During 2023

JAKARTA - General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Adi Soemarmo Airport Erick Rofiq Nurdin in Boyolali, Central Java, Monday, said that for flight traffic in 2023, Adi Soemarmo recorded 8,948 movements with 1,213,528 passengers recorded.

"Meanwhile, cargo is 3,070,275 kg," he said.

He said the flights served by Adi Soemarmo Airport were domestic and international flights.

The airlines operating at the airport are Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air, Batik, Citilink, Air Asia, Nam Air and Super Air Jet.

Meanwhile, in May-July, the airport also serves international flights that dispatch Indonesian pilgrims.

Furthermore, in September Adi Soemarmo Airport first flew a charter plane serving Umrah pilgrims on the Solo-Jeddah direct route.

Related to this, he said that although the world of aviation had not fully recovered after the COVID-19 pandemic, data showed flight traffic in 2023 had increased by 51.38 percent compared to 2022.

Meanwhile, the number of airplane passengers traveling through Adi Soemarmo Airport during 2023 increased by 55.70 percent compared to 2022.

"Furthermore, the number of aircraft cargo has increased by 98.28 percent compared to 2022," he said.

Meanwhile, for Umrah flights, he said, it had been operating since September 2023. However, it is still operating every Saturday with the Solo-Jeddah-Solo route.

He hopes that the additional operating hours that have been in effect since October 25, 2023 can increase the frequency and can boost the number of flights, passengers and cargo of aircraft at Adi Soemarmo Airport.
