Borobudur Temple Welcomes First Tourist In 2024
JAKARTA - The manager of the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park welcomes the first tourist visit in 2024 to both domestic and foreign tourists, Monday, January 1.
"We have a habit of welcoming the first guests to attend at the beginning of the year," said Director of Finance, Risk Management and HR of PT Taman Wisata Borobudur Prambanan Temple and Ratu Boko Mohamad Nur Sodiq in Magelang, Central Java, as reported by Antara.
He mentioned the first domestic guest this year Ani Supriyono from Tangerang, Banten, while foreign guest Mr Morgan Chang from Taiwan.
"Hopefully this will give a good impression to all tourists and we hope that this welcoming tradition will bring goodness to the management of Borobudur Temple in the future," he said.
The first visitor was given an appreciation in the form of draping a scarf, given a book, then souveners and breakfast, this activity will be carried out every year.

"Almost every year like this and this is something good and we will continue to do it," he said.
He conveyed that the number of visits to Borobudur Temple in 2023 is around 1.4 million tourists and in 2024 it is targeted to visit 1.56 million tourists.
"Of these, the comparison of foreign visitors is around 10 percent, domestic is around 90 percent," he said.
