Manny Pacquiao Goda Floyd Mayweather For Exhibition Duel
JAKARTA Former eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao teased former United States fighter to duel in an exhibition fight.
He conveyed this to Pacquiao when he was present at the MMA RIZIN 45 event which took place at Saitama Super Arena, Japan, Sunday, December 31, 2023 yesterday.
The boxing star from the Philippines entered the ring and indicated to the audience that he would face Floyd Mayweather in a rematch as part of this year's RIZIN card.
"I look forward to seeing you in Japan in a big fight against Floyd Mayweather," Pacquiao said in front of thousands of spectators.
"I don't think you want me to say that. I'm very happy. Thank you for always supporting the RIZIN promoter," he added.
Indonesian President, Nobuyuki Sakakibara, confirmed that the rematch between Mayweather vs Pacquiao is currently being prepared. However, no details were disclosed.
In addition, the fight has not yet been confirmed by Mayweather and his team. If this duel really materializes, it will automatically become the center of attention.

These two boxers previously fought in 2015. In a duel that became the most financially profitable combat event in history, Mayweather won absolute points in twelve rounds.
Pacquiao retired from the sport in 2021, while Mayweather retired from boxing in 2017. However, these two boxers are still in the ring for exhibition matches.
Mayweather once took part in two exhibition fights in Japan which is part of the RIZIN event. For this reason, it is possible that the duel with Pacquiao could be realized.
