Satpol PP Many Receiving Complaints Of Missing Children During New Year Celebration In HI Roundabout Area
JAKARTA - Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin said there were a number of complaints from children missing during the 2024 New Year's Eve celebration along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to Jalan MH Thamrin, and the National Monument area. Especially in the Hotel Indonesia (HI) roundabout area when the New Year's Eve is over.
"Earlier, at the end of the year they had started to melt, starting to leave the HI Roundabout area. One by one there were scattered, separated. In fact, earlier the wife and husband were separated. So it's not just the children, there are quite a lot for children," said Arifin at the HI Roundabout, Monday, January 1., early in the morning.
Arifin explained, of the 56 posts distributed along Jalan Thamrin-Sudirman, there were many reports of the loss of family members. However, he mentioned the number of missing children.
"But they have met their families. No one was separated until they did not meet, but everyone could be met with the family," he explained.
Apart from missing people, continued Arifin, the Command Post also received complaints related to crime. Such as pickpocketing that was successfully secured by members and then handed over to the police.
"Indeed, in the midst of the crowd there are those who use it for things that are not true, not good," he said.
Arifin also appreciated the cooperation of all officers on duty on New Year's Eve.
"But all officers, both from the DKI Provincial Government, Satpol PP ranks and others, including support from the police unit and the TNI, thank God, have succeeded in guarding the security of Jakarta residents, calling for the new year 2024," he said.
Arifin added that the DKI Satpol PP placed 730 members in recreational areas on the January 1, 2024 New Year holidays. Such as in Ancol, Ragunan, TMII, Setu Babakan, Kota Tua, to other public spaces including Lake Sunter and Taman Tebet Eco Park.
"So in all crowded centers, including at Monas, our members will be placed and spread there in recreational locations, as well as open spaces that are crowded with people," he said.
Previously, Arifin said that the DKI Satpol PP had alerted dozens of public complaint posts spread across New Year's Eve celebration points.

"We built 56 public complaint posts. We named Pamdumas, security and public complaints. This post is along Thamrin-Sudirman, both on the west side and the east side of Thamrin-Sudirman Street," Arifin told reporters, Thursday, December 28.
This Pamdumas post, said Arifin, serves various complaints. One of them is the reporting of missing children by their parents when participating in New Year's Eve celebrations.
"When there are people who may lose their children, separate from their families, please report their complaints to the postal officer with 56 points. Hopefully we can help, then later find one separate family," explained Arifin.
In addition, the Pamdumas post also serves complaints from the public who are victims of criminal acts, one of which is the pickpocketing that is rampant in the crowd.
