East Java Provincial Government Guarantees Security For New Year's Celebration 2024
SURABAYA - The East Java Provincial Government guarantees that the security of New Year's Eve celebrations to 2024 in the area can run safely and comfortably for the local community, including tourists who visit.
East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa in Batu City, East Java, Saturday said that his party and relevant stakeholders had checked a number of leading tourist destinations in the East Java region.
"We came to check that if it's a ride tour, then the security must be validated. If it's natural tourism, it must be ensured that it's controlled. So we have to monitor this together," said Khofifah.
On that occasion, Khofifah together with Pangdam V/Brawijaya Major General TNI Rafael Granada Baay, East Java Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto, and Pangkoarmada II Rear Admiral TNI Yayan Sofiyan visited one of the tourist destinations in Batu City, East Java Park 3.

Khofifah explained that this review was also carried out to ensure the readiness of tourist sites to accept visitors during the 2023 Christmas holiday season and the 2024 New Year celebration. she hopes that people can take a vacation in peace and comfort.
He added, when many people are on vacation and crowding tourist areas, the potential for unwanted things to occur must be minimized as much as possible. With the hope that there will be no casualties during this New Year celebration moment.
"Like what happened at a hotel in Banyuwangi, because someone was swimming and was in a crowded condition so that there were victims who could not be helped," he said.
Therefore, he continued, this is a common concern where every hotel service that has a swimming pool must also have a team that continues to monitor. It has communicated with the local regional head
"I have communicated this with the Regent, so that there is caution and further vigilance is built. Happy vacation in East Java, I hope everyone is happy and memorable," he said.
Meanwhile, East Java Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto said, one of the big problems faced every holiday is congestion. So, his party has made a number of efforts to prevent congestion during the holidays ahead of the New Year celebrations.
