Zeekr Starts Entering Right Steering Market, Starting To Send Cars To Singapore Next Year
JAKARTA - Expanding its presence in the international market, Zeekr, a subsidiary of electric vehicle premium (EV) Geely Holding Group, will enter the Singapore market in 2024.
Quoted from the CNevpost page, Saturday, December 30, the Audi brand retail dealer Premium Automobiles was appointed as the brand distributor, and the deal has been signed, according to a report in The Straits Times Singapore.
Based on the report, the Zeekr Showroom in Singapore will be completed in the Leng Kee Road area in the first half of 2024, and will only be a facility for itself (not used together with Audi vehicles).
The plan, this Chinese brand will launch two models at once for the Singapore market, first there is the Zeekr 009 Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MVP) and the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Zeekr X, and delivery will begin in the third quarter of 2024.
Not only Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau will be the first areas where Zeekr's right-handed steering vehicles will be available. This means that it is possible to penetrate other markets, such as Thailand.

As is known, previously Zeekr had also targeted Europe to be the next international destination. Where in April 2023 the company began showing off its vehicle model, with the Netherlands and Sweden being the first two countries. Meanwhile, on December 11, 2023, the company sent the first version of the European Zeekr 001 in the Netherlands.
As additional information, Zeekr was founded in 2021 and its first model, Zeekr 001, launched on April 15, 2021, with deliveries starting in October 2021 in its domestic market (China).
Furthermore, the Zeekr 009 model of the two companies, went on sale on November 1, 2022, and its delivery began on January 15. On April 12, 2023, Zeekr launched its third model, Zeekr X, and its delivery began on June 12 in the same year.
