West Java Police Fires 20 Members During 2023, 304 Others Violate Discipline
JABAR - The West Java Regional Police (Polda) fired as many as 20 members during 2023. They were dishonorably dismissed because they had tarnished the name of the Polri institution.
West Java Police Chief Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus said the number of members affected by the dishonorable dismissal in 2023 decreased compared to the previous year which recorded 28 members.
"Compared to 2023 and 2022, it will decrease by 28.57 percent by eight people," said Akhmad without specifying the type of violation committed by his members so that they were dismissed in West Java, confiscated by Antara.
Meanwhile, said the Kapolda, the data on disciplinary violations committed by members of the National Police in 2023 were 304 members or decreased when compared to 2022, which recorded 464 people.
He also said that 101 members who violated the code of ethics in 2023 decreased by around 14.41 percent compared to 2022 as many as 118 people.

On that occasion, the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Pol Ibrahim Tompo, explained that his party also received 117 complaints during 2023 regarding alleged violations by members.
Ibrahim also said that the West Java Regional Police opened a complaint service via WhatsApp (WA) Yanduan Propam to accommodate various public reports related to the National Police institution.
"Propam Polda West Java opened the WhatsApp Yanduan hotline with the intention of establishing two-way active communication between the community service and officers," he said.
