Affirm Mahfud MD Is Not A Serep Ban, Ganjar: From The Beginning The President And His Deputy's Duties Have Been Dealing From The Beginning

JAKARTA - Presidential candidate (candidate) number three, Ganjar Pranowo confirmed Mahfud MD, who is now his companion, is not a spare tire. Both have even talked about their respective priorities from the start and have made an agreement.

"In my relationship with Mr. Mahfud, we are actually dealing from the start what will be the priority of the president and vice president's duties," said Ganjar as quoted from his written statement, Friday, December 29.

Ganjar emphasized that Mahfud would be prioritized in dealing with legal certainty issues to reform if he took office later.

"This eases my position as president," he said.

"Because Mr. Mahfud will concentrate on this matter, it does not mean that the vice president determines and decides himself. He is responsible for then conveying to the president and president who will decide to become policies," continued Ganjar.

Ganjar memastikan Mahfud bakal menjadi mitranya. Karenanya, pikira wakil presiden hanya sebagai ban serep bisa hilang nanti.

"There should be no assumption that the vice president is just a spare tire. It's annoying. I don't. So there is a lot of work that the vice president can complete as a presidential assistant," he said.

The assumption that the vice president is only a spare tire, continued Ganjar, should be lost in the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The former Governor of Central Java gave an example of Ma'ruf Amin's work concentrating on managing public services.
