Police Examine 13 Witnesses In The Prabowo Volunteer Muarah Shooting Case In Sampang

Police officers examined 13 witnesses in the shooting case of a community leader named Murah (48) by an unknown person in Banyuates District, Sampang Regency, East Java.

"Until today, from the incident on 22 (December 2023) yes, Friday. It means it's been seven days, it's been a week. Until now, there are 13 witnesses that we have examined," said East Java Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto in Surabaya as reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 29.

He said the witnesses being examined were people at the time of the shooting incident who were in the vicinity of the incident.

However, the Kapolda said that its members are still hunting for the perpetrators.

The case handled by the Jatanras Ditreskrimum Team of the East Java Police together with local police officers, said Imam, began to find a bright spot.

Imam suspects that one person was shot and it is targeted that the identity can be identified in early January 2024.

"Alhamdulillah, our IT analysis has been sent to the National Police Headquarters, there are already instructions. It is being developed by the Ditreskrimum and the ranks, hopefully, pray that in the near future it can be revealed properly. Hopefully in early January 2024 it can be known," he said.

Regarding the weapon used by the perpetrator to shoot Musarah, the two-star police general said it was suspected of being a 22-millimeter caliber revolver.

"It can be assembled, there are also pistols with caliber 22. But at the TKP (the crime scene) there were no casings found, the bullet was found," said Imam.

As previously reported, a community leader in Banyuates District, Sampang Regency, named Murah (48), became a victim of an unknown person shooting.

Murah was shot while having coffee with his friends in front of the shop, Friday, December 22, 2023, at around 09.30 WIB.

The direction was shot twice until it fell. After carrying out the action, the perpetrators with a thick black shirt equipped with a face covering immediately fled driving an NMax.

Now the volunteer for the presidential and vice presidential candidate Prabowo-Gibran is still undergoing intensive treatment at the Dr Soetomo Regional General Hospital, Surabaya.
