Until The End Of 2023, Fund Collection At The Capital Market Reaches IDR 247 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) revealed that the total amount of fundraising in the Indonesian capital market until December 28, 2023 has reached IDR 247.06 trillion.
"There is still one day left this year. We still plan to make an effective statement, so at the end it can reach more than IDR 247 trillion," said Head of OJK Capital Market Licensing Department, Luthfy Zain Fuady at the 2023 IDX Trading Closing Press Conference, Friday, December 29.
The market capitalization (market cap) of the Indonesian capital market reached IDR 11,762 trillion as of December 28, 2023, or an increase of 23.82 percent year to date (ytd) compared to the end of 2022 of around IDR 9,499 trillion.
Furthermore, the collection of Securities Crowdfunding (SCF) funds reached Rp1.04 billion, with a total number of 493 publishers.
In addition, Indonesia's capital market in 2023 has recorded 79 new companies that have held an Initial Public Offering (IPO), and managed to raise funds of IDR 54.14 trillion.
Meanwhile, from investment management, the mutual fund net asset value (NAB) was recorded at IDR 494.56 trillion as of December 28, 2023, or a decrease of 2.04 percent (ytd) compared to 2022 of IDR 504.86 trillion.
Meanwhile, the total mutual fund management (AUM) was recorded at IDR 807.75 trillion, or a decrease of 2.39 percent (ytd) compared to the previous year's IDR 827.54 trillion.
In addition, the number of mutual fund products also decreased by 12.36 percent (ytd) to 1,858 products, compared to the previous 2,120 products.
Then, the Indonesian Bond Index (ICBI) increased 8.51 percent (ytd) to 374.20 levels, from previously at the level of 344.78.
Furthermore, the number of investors in the Indonesian capital market reached 12.15 million investors as of December 28, 2023, an increase of 17.16 percent (ytd), compared to the end of 2022 of 10.31 million investors.
Luthfy said that this achievement was driven by good economic conditions in Indonesia, such as the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG), market capitalization or market cap, and bond issuance.
Until now, he said, OJK had processed 211 public offerings.

As for this amount, as many as 79 of them are initial public offering (IPO).
In the future, Luthfy hopes that companies listed on the IDX can further prioritize information disclosure, so that the public or investors can obtain information accurately and on time regarding operational performance, finance, strategic plans and others.
"In 2027, in the roadmap launched earlier this year, we are targeting as many as 1,100 companies to conduct IPOs, so there must be efforts there," said Luthfy.
