LG Creates Smart Tiny Robots That Can Supervise Houses And Pets
JAKARTA LG Electronics created a tiny bipedal robot based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). This robot will be exhibited at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) annual event in Las Vegas.
With the support of Qualcomm Platform Robotics RB5, this unnamed robot has a myriad of capabilities that benefit its owner. This robot is capable of navigating houses, interacting verbally, expressing emotions, and being able to recognize voices.
In simple terms, robots designed to be friendly to this house are human tools such as Alexa, Amazon's smart assistant, and Apple HomePod, speakers who use Siri's digital assistant to control the device at home.
Interestingly, this LG-made robot can remind you when it is the right time to take medication and tell the weather conditions when the owner is about to travel. Small agents for this house can also monitor pets while left at home.
As explained in the CES release, this robot has an internal camera, a speaker, and a sensor to collect environmental data such as temperature, humidity, and air quality. Therefore, this bipedal robot can be the right alternative to monitor the house.

Automatically, this robot will move from one room to another and notify the owner if there is a window that is still open or a light that is still on. This tiny AI robot will provide notifications to the owner's cellphone.
The tiny LG-made AI robot can be seen in the performance of CES 2024 for four days, from January 9 to 12, next year. Apart from LG, there are thousands of startups technology that will showcase their technology in Las Vegas.
