Three Permanent Houses In Pulogadung Burned, Owners Lost IDR 1.5 Billion

JAKARTA - A total of three houses in the Kemuning 1 Alley, RT 06/02, Pulogadung Village, East Jakarta District, were burned down on Friday, December 29, in the early hours of the morning.

"The two houses and one rented with a burned area of 300 square meters. The house burned down belonged to Ngadiyanto (73), Mrs. Alwi and Mrs. Lilis," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed, Friday, December 29, morning.

As a result of the fire, the total loss suffered by the home owners was around Rp. 1.5 billion. It is suspected that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit from one of the buildings around the location of the fire.

"It is suspected that there was a short circuit and there was an ignition on the 2nd floor from Ngadiyanto's house. The fire was successfully extinguished by 16 fire engines at around 03.09 WIB," he said.

Luckily there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the fire incident. The owner only suffered material losses due to the fire.
