Chairman of the Bali Provincial Information Commission I Made Agus Wirajaya handed over the award to representatives of the Bali Provincial Government in Denpasar City, Thursday, December 28.

He conveyed that the award was given based on the results of monitoring and evaluation of the Information Commission regarding the disclosure of public information in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

According to him, the Bali Information Commission in 2023 conducted an assessment of 120 public bodies consisting of 10 provincial-level agencies, nine district/city government information and documentation management officials, 35 provincial government regional apparatus organizations (OPD), 27 district/city government OPD, 18 village governments, and 21 regional-owned enterprises/local companies.

Based on the evaluation results, he said, apart from the Bali Provincial Government there are 38 public bodies with informative qualifications, 27 public bodies with qualifications towards informative, 33 public bodies with fairly informative qualifications, and 20 public bodies with less informative and informative qualifications.

Bali Regional Secretary Dewa Indra is concerned because there are still government agencies that are less informative and not informative.

"In the report from the Chairman of the Bali Information Commission, it was said that there were several public bodies that were still not informative and less informative, frankly, it was very concerning," he said, quoted by ANTARA.

"So, we need to encourage that next year at least all public bodies go towards informative," he added.

He stated the importance of information disclosure in good governance. Therefore, the provincial government continues to encourage public agencies to improve information management.

"This is our shared responsibility, so that in the future the graph can go up and there will be no more non-informative public bodies," said Dewa Indra.
