A Total Of 94 Families From Rempang Occupy Temporary Occupancy

JAKARTA - The Batam Business Entrepreneurship Agency (BP), Riau Islands noted that as many as 94 families (KK) had occupied temporary shelters in supporting the Rempang Eco-City Program.

Head of the Public Relations Bureau for Promotion and Protocol, Ariastuty Sirait, explained that the progress of shifting to residents affected by the development of Rempang will continue.

"BP Batam continues to strive to accelerate investment realization in Rempang. Shifting to residents affected by development also takes a short time and the process is still ongoing," said Ariastuty, quoted from ANTARA, Thursday, December 28.

He understands that the enthusiasm of residents who want the construction of new housing to be realized immediately.

He said, at the end of December this model house will begin to be built in Tanjung Banon as the location for the relocation of affected residents, so that the house is targeted to be completed and can be enjoyed by residents next year.

"Hopefully all the processes can run smoothly as planned," he said.

Meanwhile, Rempang residents are enthusiastic about the issuance of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 78 of 2023.

Not without reason, the Presidential Decree which regulates the handling of social impacts in the context of providing land for national development is an important basis for realizing new housing for the people of Rempang.

"We support the government's program and hopefully the construction of new houses for residents will run smoothly," said a resident of Pasir Merah Maimunah Village.

He hopes that this program, which is projected as a new economic engine in Indonesia, can bring economic progress to Batam, especially residents from Rempang.

"We also moved to temporary shelters, nothing forced us. It was our own desire," he said.

In line with Maimunah, another resident, Ernawati, also said that she fully supports the realization of the Rempang development program.

"Hopefully the program will run smoothly and we can move forward in the future," said Ernawati.
