KSEI Targets 15 Million Investors In Political Year
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) targets capital market investors in 2024 to continue to grow even in the midst of global geopolitical onslaught and the general election democracy party (Pemilu).
KSEI President Director Samsul Hidayat said that the challenges that will occur in 2024 investors will tend to monitor the development of the new government change, especially the economy minister's policy that will be appointed by the new President.

Jakarta, Wednesday 27 December.
However, Samsul targets an increase in the number of new investors every year by 2.5 million investors. This figure is in accordance with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) roadmap which targets the number of investors in 2027 as many as 20 million investors.
"We are part of that, so every year at least 2.5 million per year. This target is not only targeted at KSEI but also at the IDX and KPEI. Still, OJK will try to be part of this figure. The hope is that 2027 the number of investors will reach 20 million Single Investor Identification (SID)," he explained.

Samsul explained, in 2023 the number of investors recorded at KSEI grew 17.6 percent from December 2022 which was 10.32 million to 12.12 million as of November 2023.
