Passengers Reach 1 Million, Minister Of Transportation Budi Karya: The Presence Of Goods Puts Indonesia In Line With Developed Countries
JAKARTA - Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi appreciated the number of Fast Train passengers reaching 1 million people since commercial operations on October 17, 2023.
"Alhamdulillah, the public's interest in using the high-speed train is very high. God willing, it is here to answer the needs of connectivity between regions that are fast, safe, safe, safe, and comfortable," said the Minister of Transportation in his statement, in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, December 27.
The Fast Economy Train is the first fast train service in Indonesia and Southeast Asia on the Jakarta-Bandung route and serves four stations, namely Halim, Karawang, Padalarang, and Tegalluar.
"The presence of the high-speed train has put Indonesia in line with developed countries. The transformations and innovations that have been pursued have now been enjoyed in real terms," said the Minister of Transportation.
The Minister of Transportation revealed that the presence of high-speed trains not only meets transportation needs, but also provides other multiplier effects, including growing new economic points, creating jobs and changing technology that can improve the quality of national human resources (HR).
"I appreciate PT KCIC for this achievement, hopefully the services provided will be better in the future. I also express my gratitude for the trust of the people who have used God willing. Upgrading faster, there will be no traffic jams on the road, and reducing pollution," he said again.
