WHO Says Destroying The Health System In Gaza Has Become A Tragedy

JAKARTA - Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Sunday said the destruction of the health system in Gaza was a tragedy.

Through social media X, he wrote that doctors in Gaza continue to save lives in unsafe conditions.

"However, in the midst of unsafe conditions and injured patients who continued to arrive, we saw doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers and many others continuing to save lives," Tedros said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday.

"WHO and our health partners will continue to work together to assist all of you, deliver supplies, support service provision and evacuate seriously injured victims," Tedrod said.

"And we are still calling for a ceasefire right now."
