Merchant Income At TM Ragunan Rises During Christmas Holidays
JAKARTA - A number of traders in the Ragunan Wildlife Park area, South Jakarta recorded an increase in revenue during the 2023 Christmas holiday. One of the child's toy traders, Sunardi said that his income had doubled compared to normal days.
"Today my income can be IDR 1.5 million to IDR 2 million. Compared to normal days, I will charge IDR 1 million," Sunardi told Antara in Jakarta, Sunday, December 24.
Furthermore, Sunardi said that current income compared to the previous years, the pandemic was still much lower. He revealed that currently the number of visitors is increasing but the purchasing power of visitors is not as much as it used to be.
Meanwhile, the food trader, Dewi, also revealed the same thing. He said that his income increased by 70 percent compared to normal days.

"On big days like now, our income in a day can reach Rp600 thousand to Rp750 thousand, different from normal days which are only around Rp150 thousand to Rp200 thousand," said Dewi.
He also added that usually the most turnover can be obtained during the New Year holidays. Similar to other traders, Ridwan, a puppet trader in Ragunan, also said that his income increased during this Christmas holiday.
"Alhamdulillah, for income, it's quite an increase, it could be up to Rp. 2 million, but on a normal day it might only be Rp. 500 thousand," said Ridwan.
Based on data from the Ragunan Wildlife Park manager, the number of visitors up to 14.00 WIB has reached 54,979 visitors.
It was recorded that tens of thousands of visitors visited the Wildlife Park on Sunday carrying 9,029 two-wheeled vehicles, 4,208 four-wheeled vehicles, 65 buses and 138 using bicycles. In addition, 2,904 people have visited the Children's Animal Park (TSA) until 14.00 WIB today, December 24, 2023.
The manager of the Ragunan Wildlife Park appealed to visitors to maintain order and cleanliness while in Ragunan.
